A brief overview of my professional experience.
My most recent summer was spent as an intern at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory in Pittsburgh, where I helped write and implement hyperparameter optimization algorithms.
For most of my undergraduate degree I have been a research assistant at the Center for Solar-Terrestrial Physics at NJIT, as well as a tutor for the math department.
I also have some experience as a sales associate and as an IT technician.
In my internship at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, I conducted research on Bayesian optimization for low and high-dimensional non-convex functions. Using scalable HPC workflows, I designed and executed approximately 100 numerical experiments comparing the efficiency, stability and reliability of an array combinations of ML models, acquisition functions, and sampling techniques. The resulting data can be used to guide the creation of optimal models and inputs for the optimization of engineering analyses. Additionally, I explored theoretical and algorithmic improvements that may speed up these processes. These findings were documented via visualizations and writeups and archived the data in a repository. My code was contributed to a production project following modern software development practices at the end of my internship.

MHD code from work with Prof. Satoshi Inoue, CSTR, NJIT using the HPC Wulver.
This code outputs both binary and png data to visualize magnetic flux ropes in quadrupolar photospheric topologies for coronal mass ejections. The visualization process is done through NCAR VAPOR API.
Recent updates include finishing the implementation of the API so data does not have to be downloaded locally for visualization and updating the parellization scheme to handle multiple cores with variable number of cores.

I have been a tutor for the mathematics department at NJIT since 2023. I have assisted in recitations and worked with students individually at the tutoring center for classes such as calculus (1/2/3), linear algebra, (partial) differential equations, and more. Additionally, I have assisted at the physics tutoring center in subjects such as mechanics and electromagnetics.
During much of highschool, I worked as a sales associate at a shoe store and a frozen yogurt shop. Additionally, I have some experience as an IT technician.
